Road Trip

‘Road Trip’ was shot during the summer of 2006, on a road trip across Nevada and Arizona to the bright lights of Las Vegas and explores my fascination with the depth of mythology and nostalgia that surrounds the American road. The photographs are heavily inspired by the work of the great photographers of the American road, such as Walker Evans and Robert Frank. These photographs have been seen before in advertising, film and photography. This is what interests me about this nostalgia and mythology surrounding the road-trip, it remains a constant across generations.

This series was awarded the George Jackson travel bursary from BIAD in 2007.
