Pete James Award 2025
In June 2025 I was awarded the inaugural Pete James Award from the academic journal Visual Culture in Britain in recognition of my PhD research. This award recognised my research into early photography and the innovative methods I used throughout my study to create new knowledge about early photography in Birmingham.
As part of this, I contributed a short article to Visual Culture in Britain about my previous work with Pete James and the culture he created around photographic archives at Library of Birmingham. It is available to read in Visual Culture in Britain here.
